In 1986 a 200 acre development named Aquarina in Melbourne Beach commissioned Preston Studios to create a nature masterwork for their beachside clubhouse restaurant. The result was this 6 foot wide by 4 foot tall piece, since donated to and now seen in the Melbourne Beach library above the check-out counter.
Another major commissioned installation by Preston Studios circa 2004 on Merritt Island, Florida. In this case the home owner wanted no color and maximum light including/utilizing an existing iron chandelier. The lady of the house wanted the ceiling itself to be her "crystal chandelier." As seen in the Wardell Publications book "Windows of Enduring Color."
Preston Studios has also created a number of ceiling installations...this one reflects the period Empire French design sought for the clients by interior designer Liz Harris of Designers West for a residence on Lansing Island, Satellite Beach, Florida, circa 2006. As seen in the Wardell Publications book "Windows of Enduring Color."
Some residential installations by Preston Studios are quite large scale like this 1992 set of windows in the stairwell landing of a private residence on Merritt Island, Florida. As seen in the Wardell Publications book "Windows of Enduring Beauty" (2002).
Often Preston Studios is called upon to create something unique and personal. In this case it was to portray a landmark in each city the client's children resided to be placed into a lightbox over the fireplace in his private residence in Isleworth, Orlando, Florida.
Three large 4 foot wide by 7 foot tall windows were ordered by an entrepreneur for his private library in Bella Collina, Monte Verde, Florida. From Austria originally, the three commissioned works were to portray the origins of the written/published word. So the talents of Stanley Klopfenstine were employed to create a very European style [...]
Preston Studios has the unique ability to create works that appear derived from a different time and culture. Working with interior designer Pam Kendust, here the residential theme for an architect's private home was to be French High renaissance. Using the talents of Stanley Klopfenstine to hand paint and fire an intricate design on the [...]
World-wide collectors, like Mr Melz with his custom Datura lamp, commission Preston Studios at times for specific lamp designs (seen here as in the Wardell Publications eBook "Lamps for the 21st Century"). This is handled now exclusively by Timothy's Gallery in Winter Park, Florida.
Collectors world-wide enjoy the unique new lamp designs of Preston Studios. Disney designer Fred Rodgers based the decor of the Nunis reception hall in Isleworth, Orlando, Florida around the first of Preston Studios large scale Irises. As seen in the Wardell Publications eBook "Lamps for the 21st Century."
